PNEUMATIC TUBE SYSTEMS - Hospital
SYSTEM NW160

Arriving fast and safe anytime
Unlike the 110 mm systems, those with a tube diameter of 160 mm can transport larger loads: therefore, for the transport of donor blood, larger quantities of laboratory samples or medicines a 160 mm system is recommended.

An overview of system components

Carriers are gently sent from a dispatching station using blower-generated intake and compressed air, via a tube system to a receiving station where they are ejected from the system.
Several types of station differing in their function and operation are used depending on application. Depending on type the carrier can be inserted either from above, from below or from the front. Multi sending stations are used in such higher dispatch frequency departments as, for example, laboratories, pharmacies or blood banks. The destination is chosen via the station’s user interface. In addition, line diverters ensure accessibility of all stations to a system. Multi-line connectors or “high-capacity” connecting units provide for fast accessibility and increased efficiency in systems with high dispatch frequency.

Monitoring and control for more security

The real-time monitoring using a system-connected PC does not only visualise, record, and evaluate all of the system’s processes, but also makes it possible to remote control individual stations as well as to carry out remote maintenance of the system.

It’s never too late
Integrating new pneumatic tube systems into existing buildings does not represent a problem. Beside their use within one building, our systems can also serve as a connection between objects separated by miles.
